Cornstarch or corn flour is a tolerated item like the cocoa powder and should only be added from Cruise but it can be used on PV and PP days.


Thanks for your answer! You need to use a reduced fat cocoa powder as well as one without added sugar and you are only allowed one teaspoon a day as one of the tolerated items in the Cruise Phase. When I make a recipe called for cocoa. Many are sold unsweetened. But it still has some fat in it? How is it allowed? Thanks for the amazing support! I'm afraid Dr Dukan doesn't allow any substitution of the oat bran for any other food but everyone on the Dukan Diet is also allowed one tablespoon of wheat bran each day.


Any fat free natural yogurt should be fine. When you've moved into Cruise and can have fruit yogurts as one of your tolerated items both Sainsburys and Tesco sell Irish Yogurts that only contain fat free yogurt, fruit and sweetener. In addition to the oat bran you are also allowed one tablespoon of wheat bran each day to help with constipation and this is quite low in calories. Thank you so much for your prompt reply.


I am relieved it is not the Twinnings because drinking that is certainly a healthier option to wine! I am really angry with myself for eating the wrong type of yogurt. The front of the carton states 0% fat which is obviously very misleading unless you really know what you are looking for.


Are there any yogurts natural or flavoured that you would recommend for me please? I don’t mind the natural flavour as I add my oat bran to this in the evening. I have just bought some wheat bran today to help move nature on so to speak which I have got ready to put into my vanilla yogurt. I think I will give that idea a miss now.


The Twinnings tea should not be causing the problem but you may be drinking too much fluids. Try to drink between 1.5 to 2 litres each day unless you live somewhere hot or exercise a lot when you would be able to have more. Dr Dukan recommends eating your oat bran at the time of day you tend to feel the most hungry.


If this is in the evening that is the time to eat it. You should also try to eat your last meal about 2 hours before bedtime. The two main problems that prevent weight loss in the Attack Phase are constipation and water retention both of which are usually just temporary. Yeo Valley Vanilla Yogurt contains added sugar and tapioca so doesn't meet the rules set down by Dr Dukan. Hi Amber, I hope you could give me some advice if you may please? I am on day three of the attack phase and have not dropped even 1 pound. Which is very disheartening. I have been drinking cups of lemon and ginger tea (Twinnings). I would often have a glass of wine during the day at work and without fail a few more glasses in the evening at home.


So drinking Twinnings is my alternative, could this be the reason behind this? I drink well over 1.5 lts of water a day, whether dieting or not as I don't drink tea or coffee. I also have been eating one pot Yeo Valley fat free yogurt (vanilla of natural) and including my oat bran in my evening bowl before bed.


I am right in thinking that you would advise to eat the oat bran in the evening? Sorry, but I have looked at so much advise and comments, it can be quite confusing. I restricted to the amounts of yogurt I should be eating? The dairy products should be 2% fat or less. Can you get any of the foods either online or in a specialist health food store? What shall l look for as it is very hard in melbourne, not much choices and l cant find the sugar free cocoa either.


The problem with the frozen yogurts is that they aren't just frozen yogurt! These yogurts have added sugars and other ingredients. Nonfat Milk, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Maltodextrin, Mono And Diglycerides, Natural And Artificial Flavors, Locust Bean Gum, Cellulose Gum, Guar Gum, Carrageenan, Tapioca Starch-Modified, Annatto (Color), Live Active Yogurt Cultures Including L. Acidophilus And Bifidobacterium.
