Teeth Whitening... Baking Powder..?

Is it good results? I want to whiten my teeth, im 16 and have read a lot of the internet that baking powder is great to use for whitening teeth! How would I go about it? Sprinkle some on toothpaste for my first time or go straight for and make a paste of it with water? Is it good results? I want to try this before ii go all out and buy some whitening toothpaste.
